Picking your perfect size is easy and will help ensure minimal alterations.
They run small:
Your dress will likely be 1-3 sizes larger than you normally purchase. If you usually wear a 4, your dress will most likely be a 6 or an 8.
They are long:
Most bridesmaids dresses are made to be the ideal length for someone 5’9 in heels. This means if you are shorter, you will need a hem. If you are taller, you will need to order extra length. Our extra length option adds 5 inches to the hemline of your dress.
Your dress will need alterations:
Bridesmaids dresses are made to be altered. They are not “ready to wear” meaning they will likely require some tailoring to obtain a perfect fit.
If you are shorter than 5’9 you will likely need strap adjustment and a hem. Most all dresses require some tailoring in the bust area as well. Set up an appointment for after your delivery date to ensure a perfect fit.
There is “room for movement” built in:
Our designers leave about ¾” of room in the dress for dancing, moving and enjoying your event.
Picking your size:
Use the size chart from your desired designer to pick the best size option. If you have one measurement that is slightly larger than the others, it is advised to go with that size. Most people do not fit into the size chart perfectly.
Follow the directions below:
Measure around the fullest part of your bust- for most women this is the center of their chest. Wearing a tight fitting sportsbra or super padded push up for this is not advised. You will most likely get a measurement somewhere between 1-4 inches above your typical band size.
Wrap the tape snugly around the smallest part of your waist. Think the top of your high waisted pants. Most likely above your belly button.
measure around the fullest part of your booty. This is your hip measurement.
